Cardiology Cardiac Electrophysiology
Dr Nicholas Kerr is Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist with a special interest in treating cardiac arrhythmias.
Dr Kerr was awarded the University Medal in Physiology and graduated Medicine with Honours from The University of Sydney. He completed a PhD at The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and The University of New South Wales supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council scholarship. His research focused on using heart muscle cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells to study mechanisms of inherited arrhythmia disorders.
Dr Kerr completed cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, and two sub-specialty fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology at St Vincent’s Hospital and at the Libin Institute, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was awarded a Diploma in Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
