Dr Eleanor Rye

Consultant Physician and Cardiologist

Dr Eleanor Rye is a consultant physician and cardiologist with a broad interest across all areas of adult cardiology. Dr Rye graduated from medicine with first class honours from The University of Notre Dame Sydney, after which she completed physician training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and specialist cardiology training at nearby Royal North Shore Hospital. She is the current Cardiac Amyloidosis Fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital and is undertaking a multimodality imaging PhD at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

Dr Rye has a keen interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathies and valvular heart disease. She is highly skilled across a range of cardiac imaging techniques and holds specialist accreditation in advanced transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography.

In addition to Dr Rye’s clinical expertise, she has a strong background in research and enjoys playing an active role in training and mentoring junior doctors and medical students.

Dr Rye is welcoming new referrals. She is a strong believer in the importance of wholistic patient care and is committed to ensuring that her patients receive the highest level of care tailored to their individual needs.

Outside of medicine, Dr Rye is a keen martial arts enthusiast and enjoys exploring Sydney’s beautiful beaches.
